step 1Disasemble laptop screen

Follow the diagram below.

1. first remove the white casing. It is held by 4 allan screws.
2. Remove the metal shielding from the back of the panel, it is held by a few small screws.

step 2.5isassemble tablet

5 screws hold the case together, simply remove them and pull out the panel guts.

step 3.mount the panel on the back of the screen.

place the panel so that the sensor area is not blocked by any circuits. Fasten into place. I used duct tape.

step 4.Tweek in software.

In the wacom software, you can specify the screen area to be effected by tablet input. make the effected area match the shape, size and location of the sensor. this will line the cursor up with your input. This will require a lot of trial and error to get right.

step 5.Enjoy!

I really felt that this needed some drawings. Really the one you saw on there was the only one I did with it before I took it apart. So, I’ll include other stuff I’ve done with the tablet and just assume you didn’t read this paragraph. Enjoy!

Apple laptop Air

Apple laptop Air

Apple laptop Air

Hardware
It’s hard to take lightly (har) the purposeful design that went into the Air, it’s simply and without a doubt the most beautiful laptop we’ve seen in a while. Sure, there have been thinner, lighter laptops that take up fewer cubic centimeters — but that’s not really on trial. The goal of the Air was clear: create a Mac that frequent fliers wouldn’t be ashamed of, or in physical pain to lug around. But therein lies the rub. The Air simply doesn’t have the power to be many users’ primary machine, while also lacking many of the features considered necessity by business travelers. More on that in a minute, though.

There are a lot of things that the Air gets right, and a decent amount of horsepower is one of ‘em. Apple didn’t take the easy route and go with an etiolated Ultra Low Voltage (read: ultra low performance) chip, they actually pushed Intel to repackage a slower version of its full-on Core 2 Duo processor. We were a little disappointed when Steve announced this wasn’t the new power-efficient, lower-heat 45nm Penryn chip design, but in the time we’ve played with the Air, it’s still rarely managed to output enough heat to raise an eyebrow. This is actually a laptop that belongs on your lap — without any fear of sterility. Of course, as our Mac-on-Mac benchmarks showed, the 1.6GHz chip is still a little on the slow side, but the Air is by no means unusable. It’s not really one of Steve’s “screamers” — but ultraportables aren’t really intended to be.

The 13-inch LED backlit screen not only sips power where larger CCFL backlit displays guzzle, it also looks amazing: crisp, bright, and vibrant. Where other small laptops use 8-11-inch screens that are nigh-unreadable by many a squinty Engadget editor, for a laptop of this size the Air gives plenty of screen real estate to get things done. Unfortunately, Apple only offers this display with a glossy finish, so if you’re fond of the matte or work outside or near a window, be forewarned. The bezel around the display is a little thick for our tastes, and the lid might not tilt back as far as we’d like due to the physical constraints of the joint design, but these are relatively minor complaints.

Also rare for an ultraportable is the Air’s full-size keyboard, which adds some (worthy) width to the body. Those fond of the ridgeless, separated key design as found in MacBook and iMac / Mac pro keyboards will feel right at home. We’re not too into this design, but unlike almost every ultraportable we’ve owned, the Air’s keyboard feels thoroughly solid and sturdy. The keys are tactile, not at all mushy, and backlit to boot. Typing on the Air is a pleasure, not a chore. The keyboard also happens to be where the MacBook Air emits audio — beneath right home row keys (k, l, ;, ‘) is the Air’s tinny mono speaker, which seems and sounds more like an afterthought.

The Air’s integrated 802.11n worked well with our stock D-Link 802.11n router, and transferred data at about 3-4MBps — we were certainly satisfied with its wireless performance. The Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR as a standard option is also nice, but it’s immediately clear the Air needed some integrated 3G, especially considering its lack of an ExpressCard slot.

hp - pavilion laptop

hp - pavilion laptopWhen searching for the best cheap laptop, you want to make sure you are getting enough value for the money you are spending. Unfortunately, some people make the mistake of shortchanging their hardware in the wrong areas. There are three critical hardware areas that must be addressed when looking to purchase a laptop. Discover what these three areas are and what sort of specifications you should look for.

In order to get the most from the best cheap laptop, you need to get a good processor. A Core 2 Duo processor is a pretty good base option to start with, especially if you are looking to save some money. They can be a little more expensive and depending on what you are looking to use the laptop for, you might be able to go with a lesser processor and save some money. Celeron and AMD are two of the lower end processors that are fine for people the want to surf the web, send emails, and use less intensive functions like word processing.

Memory for a best cheap laptop should start at two gigabytes, especially if the computer is running Vista. Two gigabytes is enough to run Vista without issue while also having enough memory to handle other application as well. Again, if you are going to be using more intensive programs or the latest games, then you’ll want to consider spending a little extra and getting additional RAM. This will make your budget notebook’s life longer and increase what applications it can handle at one time.

Often times when looking for the best cheap laptop, shopper think that bigger it better when it comes to hard drive size. If your needs warrant having a gigantic hard drive, then by all means purchase one, but if you’re only going to be storing word documents and some pictures, then a standard sized hard drive should be more than adequate. If you feel that at some point you might need the extra space, then get the larger hard drive at the start instead of paying to upgrade later one.

For the most part, processor speed, RAM, and hard drive space are the three main hardware areas to keep in mind when searching for the best cheap laptop. Video cards can be nice additions, but are dependent upon the intended use of the notebook. Even the standard graphics card is powerful enough to handle most of the applications the laptop will run. Wireless connectivity is also standard these days so it should not be too much of an additional cost to have wireless card in the laptop.

hp - pavilion laptopYou are looking forward to buy a good laptop carrying case. But before you buy you should have try to learn what qualities make laptop carrying cases unique and different from others. Simply going and getting one case for your laptop is not done. You have to mind few qualities in them and get a case that is meant for you. You have invested so much of money in your laptop and now you cannot bring in anything that protects it. The following are the few qualities that you need to check out while buying it.

Comfort: The level of comfort can provide you. Good laptop cases will offer good support to your shoulder and won’t create any sort of discomfort. The cases must be sturdy and at the same time they must be lightweight too. A laptop usually weighs 6-8 pounds and you cannot afford to buy something which weighs more than 4 pounds. Quality and comfortable laptop cases are always lightweight and made of good quality material.

Protection: Cheap and unreliable laptop cases cannot provide you the protection that you want for you laptop. You get many cheap in the market with promises to protect your laptop from most challenging situations. Avoid them and look around for something which has a name and fame of really protecting your machine. Look forward to have something which is water proof and also protects your laptop from rain and water. The cases must be built of materials that don’t hurt the laptop when there is accidental fall of it from tabletop or other areas.

Storage: Don’t buy laptop carry cases that are too tight for your laptop to insert. But get something that provides little room for breathing. There must be additional compartments to carry accessories or other items that usually laptop users carry with them.

The laptop carrying cases that meet the above mentioned criteria are perfect for you.

laptop notebookBackpacks of today are not what they simply used to be. They are now everything one needs, for everything one does, all wrapped up in one convenient, easy to use package. No more are they used only by children to carry their books and pencils back and forth to school. An entirely new generation of laptop backpacks is currently being manufactured for multiple generations of technology users.

Most people can’t go anywhere without their laptops. Along with cell phones and PDAs, these tools are becoming our life line to everything we do. However, we worry about the safety of our laptops more than any other technological gadget we carry with us. After all, people drag them in and out of their automobiles, back and forth to class, and in and out of coffee shops; we are highly aware that these things are not resistant to occasional bumps and fumbles.

The laptop backpack provides the perfect answer for any laptop owner. Backpacks are no longer an unsightly sack in which to toss your books as they used to be. And the laptop owner is no longer limited to a briefcase style tote bag if they need to shield their laptop. Backpacks have been greatly revolutionized in order to accommodate the development of technology, and they now offer security and protection while maintaining their original functions of mobility and easiness of carry.

Laptop owners are obviously quite conscious of security measures. They understand how simple it is for someone to steal their laptop when they’re not paying attention. A laptop backpack provides the laptop owner with the peace of mind they need to go about their day. With the laptop securely strapped to one’s back, there is no longer the need to worry about of forgetting it after absent-mindlessly setting it down somewhere while fixing a cup of coffee and walking off.

acer laptop

acer laptopMaking sure your laptop bag is secure is a great way to save time, headache, and in my circumstances, money too! From airports to sneaky and quick thieves this checklist will have you covered!

For what its worth make sure your bag is TSA approved

Having a bag that is Transport Security Administration will (theoretically) help speed you through the security line in any airport or transit station. In my experience that’s not the case, but it never hurts to do what you can to meet all the guidelines and rules with these people. Having a TSA approved laptop bag means requires having a special laptop only section in your bag. That means that when they scan it for bombs and tampering they want an unobstructed view of the laptop. Their  “highly” trained staff will then assess to see if your laptop has been tampered with and will either pass you through the line or pull you aside to take a closer look at its contents. Not playing ball here can be a nightmare so you’re better safe than sorry… we don’t want out laptop in pieces. The reason the bags require a laptop only section is because anything lying on top or below the laptop will show up funny when scanned. For instance, if you put a regular laptop bag through the scanner and there is a notepad inside directly on top of the laptop, it will look as if there is a coiled piece of metal (the notebook binding coil) inside your laptop. Usually they can tell it’s not actually in the laptop, but everyone makes mistakes, and that could cost you lots of time. In other words, a TSA approved computer bag will have a separate section for the laptop that folds out and away from the other contents of the bag. Like a book or map, they come in a bi-fold, and tri-fold design. Alternately you can use a TSA approve notebook Sleeve, but their design requires that they hold only the laptop to meet TSA standards.

Make Sure it’s Snatch Proof

Having a snatch proof laptop bag means making sure your straps and their bindings or clasps can hold a sufficient amount of weight - much more than the laptop. Think something more like your own body weight. Many cheap computer bags will have equally cheap clasps or straps. These straps will rip, tear, or break when pulled on hard enough. A quick and strong criminal can have you computer in his possession and be running before you even realize how you ending up on your butt. Essentially the goal here is just to make sure nobody can pull your cargo away from you. A good thick grippy shoulder strap is an excellent start!

Make sure its hard to access

Making sure your laptop bag is hard to access means having clips and zippers instead of buttons. The stronger the better and if you can lock them, then you’re really in business. Similar to the above you’ll want a good strong should strap and a design that lends itself to being comfortable to wear so you’re not putting it down as often. If it only takes a quick second for you, the owner, to open you bag, imagine what a well timed and skilled crook could do. With buttons, I’d give them half a second flat before they have your computer and are off and running. Another important factor is making sure the bag liner is strong and cut resistant. It’s not entirely unheard of to have a criminal cut open a sitting laptop bag and slide the contents out carefully whilst being completely unnoticed. There are a variety of designs and materials that lend themselves to this level of security so keep an eye out for advertised features like “security mesh” and the like.

Make sure its pick pocket proof

Having a pick pocket proof laptop bag is essential when you are traveling. There are very skilled criminals out there that will rob you blind and you won’t even notice… at first anyway.  This can be prevented my making sure the contents are hard to access like in the above paragraph. No buttons, no unsecured flaps, and a design that promotes security. Use locks whenever you can and obviously, don’t leave your bag beyond arms reach. Flashy colors make a great deterrent too!

Make sure it can take a hit

Lastly this is something you can avoid on your own by just being careful. The security of your computer also includes its well-being. Making sure you laptop bag is well secured, well padded, and well constructed will save you a lot of money and headache. I once made the mistake of having my headphones plugged into my laptop audio ports when I put it away. Even though I didn’t drop it or anything severe like that, the ports where ruined because the bag I was using put a lot of pressure on the headphone ports. That pressure stretched out the internal connection in the ports and they stopped making contact, and subsequently working, unless pressure was applied to the jacks to get the contacts to touch again. It cost me over 200 dollars to fix, and it all could have been prevented by using the right bag or making sure to unplug my headphones.

Why You Should Consider An Acer Laptop

acer laptopWhy Acer is the laptop manufacturer you should consider? Seems like you can’t log onto your computer, open the Sunday circular, or drive down the road without seeing an advertisement for one laptop manufacturer or another, but what makes one any better than another? I do not enjoy looking for a laptop for just that reason. I usually advise people to first check out the individual manufacturers to see if what they have to offer is going to work for your needs, and that goes for anything you may buy. Acer is laptop is definitely one manufacturer you should look into when it comes time to make your laptop. By taking a look at Acer as a company and a maker of laptops, you can begin to decide if that is who you want making your laptop.

When looking at any laptop you are probably concerned with two main things: the price and the quality. Acer laptop, in tems of sales, is one of the top five companies in the entire world, which should tell you that they are doing something right. Acer markets themselves as a company that can offer you IT solutions, including the laptop you are looking for, whether you are a company, a large corporations, or an indivdual. It was in 2000 that Acer laptop came to the forefront because that is when Acer decided to push an overall marketing campagne on gaining a global label. The company as a whole has been around since 1975 and so is well established. Today they do several billion in business each year, and a large chunk of that is due to Acer laptop sales and leases.

By knowing that Acer is global, well established, and built on the idea of solutions, you know that an Acer laptop is at least worth a look as you try to find the right one for you personally or your small business. Check out their website to get more information or contact the company directly to see exactly what they have to offer you in the way of Acer laptops.

The push toward a global presence that Acer moved toward in 2000 included a big push in Acer laptop sales and services, which is good for you if you are indeed in the market for a laptop. As part of the push, Acer has begun to enrich their overall ability to enact solutions; they have also been able to improve themselves to where they not offer the highest level of customer service and tech support, which is also important to you as you consider an Acer laptop.
